Co-founder of the Jolly Roger (Sound of Pirates) label. Together with hit-maker Pat-Rich, Nicola Fasano established his sound worldwide with ‘75 Brazil Street’ as sampled by international music star Pitbull for his global smash ‘I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)’.
As producer and remixer, Nicola Fasano has sold more than 6 million records,
and along the way has swept up a collection of prestigious awards, including:
- ASCAP Latin Award for Best Urban Latin Song in 2009
- ASCAP Pop Award for Best Pop Song in 2009
- ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Award for Best R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel Song
Nicola received a large number of Platinum and Diamond Awards that have been
collected over more than 350 releases, demonstrating his prolific output and touch as a producer.
Following two collaborations with Pitbull (‘I Know You Want Me’ and ‘Oye Baby’), both of which were included in Pitbull’s album ‘Planet Pit – Deluxe Edition’, Nicola went on to do several productions and remixes for many pop stars including Kat Deluna (who hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100), Ultra Nate, Lumidee, Lucenzo and Chris Willis.
Nicola’s second collaboration with Steve Forest in 2012 ‘I Am Home’, smashed its way up the Beatport charts after a release on Spinnin’ Records. With support from the likes of Axwell, Ingrosso, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sander van Doorn, Alesso, Calvin Harris, Nicky Romero, Hard Rock Sofa, Swanky Tunes and World #1 Hardwell, the track also went down a storm at Tomorrowland & Ultra Music Festival.
With the release of ‘I Am Home’ Nicola started the second phase of his career.
